Critical for the firm based in Bethesda, was to make a small but mighty Baltimore City satellite office improve the work efficiency for the local project team. Access to daylight for all staff along with modern amenity spaces enhanced this touch down office that helps facilitate less time spent on the road. Design features included full glass walls with sliding glass doors, video conferencing, recessed shade for conferencing privacy, and a stylish kitchenette with custom cold brew coffee tap. The reception area featured a brick-clad wall in Federal Hill style while sealed concrete floors and open ceilings with Tectum panels echoed the industrial look of the surrounding city area. Work stations utilized low partitions for seated privacy and practical writable glass surfaces. Fresh, bright and open – the new space promotes team collaboration and flexibility. NFD provided space planning, finish/furniture assistance, construction documentation, and construction administration for this 2,500 square foot project.
