As the staggering numbers of people suffering from addiction grow, the need for treatment facilities is sadly lagging. Innovo Detox selected NFD to help guide them through the adaptive-reuse project of an extremely aged facility they acquired to offer short-term detox treatment. NFD created a welcoming, friendly environment that is patient-centric focused on comfort and healing. Large windows were incorporated into the design to draw patients to the beautiful outdoor views and added a patio/gazebo area to aid in healing body and mind. The new design is a bright, modern aesthetic enhanced by natural artwork pieces and accented by contemporary lighting fixtures and stylish elements. NFD provided as-built documentation, space planning, design development, construction documentation, MEP engineering coordination, furniture selections, evacuation and licensing plans, permit acquisition, renderings and construction administration services for this 22,000 square foot building.
“Our experience with NFD was extremely positive. We recently completed a largescale project, the first of its kind for our organization. From our first meeting with NFD, we knew we were in good hands, with experts that took the time to hear our vision, concepts, concerns, and overall goals. They were easily able to adapt to the project demands, stayed in constant communication with our team, and offered incredible insight and follow-up. As an organization entering a project area that was new for us, we felt the entire NFD team was collaborative in nature and felt like an extension of our organization, rather than a company hired to provide a service. We would absolutely recommend the NFD and are incredibly grateful for the quality of service they provided us.”
