Leadership Team
Jeanie Stambaugh
From humble beginnings in 1988 as receptionist at NFD, Jeanie Stambaugh now serves as President of the firm. Developing her skills at Loyola College for Business Management and Accounting, she grew with the firm taking on multiple responsibilities, becoming Partner, and subsequently Co-owner in 2012. Building the firm’s culture to reflect the needs and wants of our valued employees, she maintains a strong commitment to training and experiential opportunities to develop well-rounded designers and leaders. With good-natured fun and humor, Jeanie leads the team with a contagious energy and excitement creating a work environment that is enjoyable and fosters growth.
Emily Proctor
After graduating from Virginia Tech, Emily started her career at NFD in 2001 quickly climbing the ranks. From Senior Designer to Director of Design and Partner and then Co-owner in 2012, she leads the thriving team of designers with grace, style and a fun-filled attitude that makes being around her enjoyable and inspirational. MDCID and LEED AP ID+C certified, Emily has a wealth of architectural and construction knowledge which she infuses into our design staff, mentoring and training on a daily basis. She is dedicated to her clients, consistently going above and beyond. One of her favorite things is getting a client’s call saying how happy they are with their new space. Emily finds joy in creating environments that improve an organization’s performance and she’s inspired by the wide array of clients with their unique needs and requirements.
Laura Schlicht
An interior design graduate, Laura started her career with NFD in 1985 serving as Designer and ultimately Project Manager. After leaving the firm to raise her family, she returned as Business Development Director and loves speaking with people about their businesses and strategizing for ways to make them better. She understands and helps to navigate the significance of branding and workplace strategy in creating a successful work environment. Laura helps to mentor designers, supports Jeanie, Emily and the rest of the staff utilizing her design and management skills supporting the NFD culture.
